Cycles and Spheres Recital

The Cycles and Spheres Recital is part of a year long project to expand the repertoire for singing percussionists, a rare and expressive performance practice that blends vocal artistry with percussion.

The recital will feature newly commissioned works for voice and percussion by groundbreaking composers Susie Ibarra, Felipe Lara, and Randy Stagich, along with a five-movement song cycle with percussion ensemble by Nathan Juarez. The pieces explore the theme Cycles and Spheres through a variety of interpretive lenses, blending a variety of styles and techniques into one enticing concert!
